London Fashion Week Men's AW20

January started off with a busy week of working on London Fashion Week Men’s with a number of crews darting around London to film at some of the top shows. As usual this directly followed New York’s shows which set the standard for luxury and high street designers alike.

This is Pocket Motion Pictures’ round up of our best bits from the shows.

PMP Edit

We couldn’t resist collecting all the best bits from the season and creating our own social edit for ourselves. We’ve selected the best snippets of the shows and our in-house editors were set free to add any creative elements they liked to form our personal roundup video.

John Lawrence Sullivan

For the last few seasons we’ve had the pleasure of shooting for Tokyo based designer Arashi Yanagawa and his fashion brand John Lawrence Sullivan. This year the setting was the basement of Shoreditch Town Hall, which gave the perfect punk feel to match the designer's intended tone of the show. Both cameras were focused on highlighting the colours in the clothes and contrast to the basement surroundings.

8ON8 for GQ China

The 8ON8 show was a larger setup this season as we were on site to film both the runway show as well as elements of behind the scenes of hair, makeup and model prep. This was a three-camera shoot to ensure we caught all looks as well as the audience’s reactions to the show and elements of BTS throughout the day.

Martine Rose

Another intense show we worked on was Martine Rose- this was actually set in her daughter’s primary school and extended to two floors. Our 2 camera setup which usually has one panning camera and one static wide was pushed aside as Rose wanted to get the looks from very different angles and remain static to emphasise on the setting of the show.

We're gearing up for the next instalment of London Fashion Week so get in touch if you require a quote for your show.
