The Future of Fashion

With the current COVID-19 pandemic many companies have to cancel or postpone major events which would have been the highlight of their year. This decision also spreads over to fashion and upcoming Fashion Weeks all over the world. Although this is a great shame and will affect both the consumers spending habits and suppliers profit, this could be an opportunity to discover a new way to share fashion in a digital world.

Virtual Showrooms

With countries on lockdown businesses need to consider new ways to keep things in motion, one innovative way that fashion labels are still communicating with buyers is by hosting Virtual Showrooms. DFO, a fashion showroom and buying agency conducted a live-streaming session with many independent labels, to share the items of clothing that would have otherwise been seen in person. While buyers usually prefer to feel the fabric and see the cut in real life these showrooms provide an effective way of keeping the process moving without having to be there.

Private Runway Collection

With London Fashion Week on the calendar for September it is unknown if this will also have to be cancelled or postponed, so if you have to rearrange runways or presentations why not consider planning for a filmed showroom or private runway collection?

Pocket Motion Pictures are able to live-stream an array of events which will help keep Fashion Weeks alive. Live streaming has become more popular over the last few seasons and with the current situation we imagine it will only increase!

Live streaming allows a larger audience to see the collection in real time, our crew can attend the showroom or private runway and either live stream to a digital audience, or film from an audience perspective, creating an immersive FW experience for viewers in the comfort of their own home.
